MAS Zengrange (NZ) Ltd has won a NZD $1.5m contract with the prime contractor, Thales Australia Ltd, to deliver Command Initiated Detonation Systems (CIDS) to the Australian Commonwealth as part of the SEA 1778 project.
The CIDS element of SEA 1778 supports the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Mine Counter Measures (MCM) Initial Operational Capability (IOC) for delivery in 2018.
Based upon its in-service state, operational dependability, ruggedness, flexibility and capabilities. The Mini-Demolition Remote Firing Device (Mini-DRFD) from MAS Zengrange (NZ) Ltd continues to develop into the remote initiation system of choice among Military and Police forces worldwide. With the introduction of the Mini-DRFD POPπ M4.0 Float System, the land based Mini-DRFD transitions into the maritime domain enforcing its suitability for all joint operations.
